Update

In case there is anyone out there listening...I haven't forgotten about my blog. With the lack of wi-fi, and blogger's inability to work when I do find access, I am having a hard time updating!! I will update as soon as I can though. I tried to add pictures and stuff today, but of course, it wouldn't let me. I would just write, but as witty as I think I am, I know you guys want pictures, so you will have to wait. In the mean time, we are doing well, happy as can be, and loving it.

Back to San Francisco

So, without wi-fi, the blog has been at a standstill, so here's a post that goes back to our night in San Fran. That was our stop over before boarding the plane to Okinawa by way of Tokyo. We had a great time!!! We stayed at an awesome hotel ...

and had dinner with a friend of Justin's from high school who showed us some sights,

and then crashed and prepared for the next day's LOOONNNGGG plane ride! I got to see the golden gate bridge, but there are no pictures. It was at night, and, well...the picture didn't turn out. So you will just have to take my word for it!!

We made it!!

Well, I type this from the library across the street from our temporary housing (glorified hotel) so I can't really upload any pictures yet...but as soon as I get actual access to the internet with my laptop, and I get over the jetlag to take some...there will be pictures!!

All is well here. Everything went smooth with the trip. We just got our new japanese cell phones (I was able to get an iphone so YAY! I don't miss out!) In case anyone is curious, my new cell number is 080 4379 3639 (I don't know what the country code is just yet...)

I will post more later. PROMISE!! Oh, here's a tidbit. The stop signs are triangle. Yup. Signing off ...

Just a quick update

For those of you who have been wondering (And for those of you who haven't but stumbled here anyway and decide to read on...) we finally have departure dates. FINALLY!

I have been hanging out in Starkville for the last few days, seeing some friends, and spending some time with Logan ...

And then on Tuesday, I will fly from here to San Francisco where I will meet Justin and Wednesday (17 Feb 2010) we will fly to Okinawa.

Road Trip!!

Things are finally wrapping up here in the states. Justin finished up his training last week, and we made our cross country trek back to Starkville for me, and as I type, he continues all the way to Reading, PA.

As you can see from our zig zag map, we made a couple of pit stops...almost crossing into Mexico. ALMOST. Not without having to talk to border patrol though. My first experience with Mexican border patrol.

We went through some very interesting places while on the drive...like the Cactus Capital of Texas. Who can go through THAT without being intrigued???

And then we saw some "nothingness"

But never fear. We kept each other entertained....! What is Justin going to do without me on the rest of his trip? It's going to be torture!
